Metal Products Standards and Certification The Metal Products standards are internationally recognized, voluntary guidelines that provide a framework for the conformity assessment of production control systems, ensuring the quality of metal products. These standards include:
  • EN 10080: Steel for the reinforcement of concrete – Weldable reinforcing steel – General.
  • BS 4449: Steel for the reinforcement of concrete – Weldable reinforcing steel – Bar, coil, and decoiled product.

Objective of the Metal Products Scheme The primary goal of the Metal Products Scheme is to assess and verify production control systems to ensure compliance with the standards mentioned above. This scheme is designed to achieve the following objectives:

The aim of the Scheme is to ensure that it continuously meets international metal industry requirements, resulting in a certification that assures metal and steel organizations provide high-quality metal to their customers. About ATC International ATC International is the official owner of the Metal Products Scheme, holding exclusive rights to establish and modify the scheme as necessary. To ensure the scheme continues to meet market demands, ATC International may introduce changes, and the accreditation manager is responsible for informing accreditation bodies (ABs) of any relevant updates.
